Time outs

Do you remember when you got a time out for doing something wrong either in school or at home? Well that time out gave us time to think about what we did wrong as a child. But did you know that if you take a time-out as an adult it can help you clear your mind? I have found that if you take a time out during a fight with your spouse/loved one that both of you can talk in a claim voice. I also found that if you take a time-out during your lunch hour at work you can lower your stress level. I know all of this sounds silly but have you tried it? Right now I am on my computer and the television isn't on. My time-outs are when I turn the TV off and read my book. My cat Salem even takes a time-out. He goes and lays down and sleeps. I even think that the leaders of this world should take a time-out. I don't know if anyone is reading these posts or not. And if you are I hope you are trying out my challenges. Take a time-out today and learn more about yourself in a safe environment. Or close the drapes turn off your cell phone and TV and just close your eyes and breath. It doesn't matter how to do your time-out as long as you feel better about yourself and life afterwards. But the key here is to be safe about it. Don't go out drinking and drive home. Go to the park and breath or go to the beach with your family. I hope that all of you tell me how you took your time out today. So here goes me time-out right now. Wish me luck.

Question of the day: Did you take a time-out today? Tell me if you did.

Challenge of the day: Write down in your journal what you did today and how you did it.

P.S. Please comment back. Thank you

Day two: Meditation time

We all have those moments when we want time to ourselves. And that's great because that gives us time to find our center in life. In the book that I am reading today it talks about slowing down and looking at your environment. What I got out of that is when you take time to smell the roses you learn something else about yourself. It also talks about how not to multitask. And I think that is a great idea because you get so over whelmed that you don't know how or when to stop and take a deep breath. So what I did was I turned the TV and now I feel a little bit better because the silence is helping me think. After this I will eat at the table and not have the TV on again until I am done. I know finding your inner self is very hard because I try every day to find it. So please don't think I am stupid or that my blog is silly. I am trying to help. As the title suggests meditation time should be a time when you turn everything off and just breath and not think about the outside world for twenty minutes or more. Will you feel better after that? Maybe but everyone is different. I pray that things get better in this country and I pray that the NRA finally listens to the parents who have lost their child in school shootings. I feel like we can make a huge difference in gun safety. But people have to be willing to let go of their selfishness. So take time to pray and take time to meditate on your inner self and on life.

Question of the day: What do you think of the world right now?
Challenge of the day: Find a quite spot in your house or apartment and turn everything off and meditate for twenty minutes. Then tell me how you felt after that twenty minutes.

Day One

I took a walk down memory lane tonight when I saw that no one posted a comment on my old blog writings then it hit me why try helping other people out when you get nothing in return? Well maybe it's because I know I am not a good writer. Maybe I thought I could help one person at a time with a small thanks in return. I am currently reading a book called Self-Care for life. And so far I have learned that it's OK to write a blog about being who you really are. Well let me start by introducing myself. My name is Kate Noto and I am 25 years old. I have a boyfriend named Ian who is 24 years old. He works for the school board here in Pinellas County, Florida which is in central Florida. We have been dating for two years and we plan on getting married one day. I work at an airport in Saint. Petersberg, Florida. We both love our families and our pets. He has a dog named Pepper and I have a cat named Salem. We met at a school called Pinellas Technical Education Center. Which was OK as far as schools go. I know I sound boring but there you go a little bit of information about myself. Each day is going to be a different post about what I think and about how I feel. I encourage you to post your comments to me so I can read them and reply back to them. I hope you have a good day and a blessed day.

Question of the day: What is your name?
